ABOUT RIDE LIKE A GIRL & Our Impact in the Motorcycle World

Ride Like A Girl CIC is a welcoming community dedicated to helping women discover the freedom, confidence and enjoyment that motorcycling brings. Whether you're considering your first ride, have recently completed your CBT, are returning after time away, or are an experienced rider, we're here to support you every step of the way.

We provide a friendly, inclusive and non-judgemental environment where women can ask questions, share experiences and build confidence at their own pace. Every rider's journey is unique, and every achievement is celebrated.

Our community organises regular social rides, confidence rides, coffee meets and Bike Nights, creating opportunities to improve riding skills, build friendships and reduce social isolation. We also promote road safety, rider education and lifelong learning by sharing training opportunities and encouraging continued skills development.

Working alongside motorcycle training schools, dealerships, retailers and industry partners, we help create more opportunities for women to enjoy and thrive in motorcycling. We celebrate our members' achievements, inspire new riders and encourage women to realise their full potential.

Giving back is central to our values. We proudly support charitable causes and community projects while offering members opportunities to volunteer, become ambassadors and help organise events, developing confidence, leadership and new skills beyond motorcycling.

Ride Like A Girl is about much more than riding motorcycles. It's about empowerment, friendship, inclusion and creating a supportive community where women encourage one another to grow.

Ride Like A Girl CIC is committed to making a positive difference within the motorcycling community and beyond. While we bring people together through a shared passion for riding, our mission is to strengthen communities, promote wellbeing and create opportunities for people to connect, learn and support one another.

We raise funds for local charities and community projects through Bike Nights, fundraising events, raffles and merchandise sales. We proudly support life-saving initiatives such as Dave's Defib, helping to fund publicly accessible defibrillators in rural communities and popular biker destinations.

Our inclusive events welcome riders of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels, helping to reduce loneliness and social isolation while building lasting friendships. We promote motorcycle safety by working with training schools, rider safety organisations and experienced motorcyclists, while supporting local businesses through partnerships with dealerships, cafés, retailers and community organisations.

We also provide volunteering opportunities that help people develop new skills, build confidence and contribute to meaningful community projects. By working alongside charities, emergency response organisations, sponsors and local partners, we deliver initiatives that create lasting benefits for the wider community.

Everything we do is guided by kindness, inclusion, collaboration and a shared purpose. Whether we're helping a new rider gain confidence, raising funds for charity or supporting the installation of a life-saving defibrillator, Ride Like A Girl is proud to use the power of the motorcycling community to make a real and lasting difference.

Ride Like A Girl Bike Nights are more than just a place to park your motorcycle – they're about bringing people together, building friendships, and creating a welcoming community for everyone who shares a passion for two wheels.

Held throughout South Wales, our bike nights are open to all riders, regardless of gender, age, experience, or the type of motorcycle you ride. Whether you've just passed your CBT, are returning to biking after years away, or have been riding for decades, you'll always find a warm welcome.

Each event offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you can meet like-minded people, admire an incredible variety of motorcycles, chat with local businesses, and enjoy great food and refreshments. Our events regularly feature charity raffles, trade stands, motorcycle displays, guest organisations, and opportunities to learn more about rider training, safety, and local riding opportunities.

Every Bike Night is organised by volunteers, with many events raising funds for local charities and community projects. Through the incredible generosity of our supporters, we've been able to make a real difference by supporting causes close to our hearts while continuing to grow an inclusive and supportive motorcycling community.

Above all, Ride Like A Girl Bike Nights are about confidence, friendship, and belonging. We believe motorcycling should be enjoyed by everyone, and our events are designed to create an environment where new riders feel encouraged, experienced riders feel valued, and everyone leaves looking forward to the next event.

Dave's Defib was created from tragedy, driven by love, and powered by an incredible community.

In August 2024, David Jones suffered a heart attack while visiting The Owl's Nest in Llandovery. During the emergency, it became clear there was no publicly accessible defibrillator nearby, and the ambulance waiting time was estimated to be several hours. Dave was taken to hospital by members of Ride Like A Girl, where he received treatment and initially recovered. Tragically, just one week later, Dave passed away following a second heart attack.

Determined that no family should face the same situation, Ride Like A Girl launched a fundraising campaign to install a defibrillator at The Owl's Nest in his memory. The response from the motorcycling community was overwhelming. What began as a single fundraising appeal quickly grew into a life-saving initiative, raising enough funds to install multiple public access Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) at key biker destinations across Wales, with ambitions to expand even further. 

Today, "Dave's Defib" run by Ride Like A Girl works in partnership with, local businesses, volunteers, and organisations such as Calon Hearts to raise funds for the purchase and installation of publicly accessible defibrillators in rural communities and popular biker locations. 

Every installation helps create a safer environment for riders, visitors, and local residents alike.
